In 2021, the largest beach fishing light complementary power generation project in Asia will be connected to the grid for power generation, with an annual carbon dioxide emission reduction of 648000 tons
On December 16, 2021, according to CCTV news, China's largest single fishing light complementary project and Asia's largest beach fishing light complementary photovoltaic power generation project - "Zhejiang Wenzhou taihan 550 MW fishing light complementary power generation project" was officially connected to the grid and successfully incorporated into the State Grid. The project has made an important contribution to promoting China's realization of carbon peak and carbon neutralization.
Taihan 550 MW fishery light complementary project is located on the beach in oufeiwei District, southern Zhejiang industrial agglomeration zone, Wenzhou, with a total installed capacity of 550 MW, accounting for about 4.7 square kilometers of water area. A total of 1428000 photovoltaic modules are installed in the project, which are arranged into 24 blocks for power generation. Through the complementarity of fishing and light, fishery breeding and photovoltaic power generation are combined to create a new model of "power generation at the top and fish culture at the bottom". After the completion of the project, it is expected to generate 650 million kwh of power every year, with an annual output value of 335 million yuan and an average annual tax of nearly 50 million yuan. Compared with thermal power projects of the same scale, the project can save 235000 tons of standard coal and 648000 tons of carbon dioxide emission every year.
