The IK code indicates the protection level of the electrical product shell against harmful mechanical collision. The identification indicates that the protection level of the shell against external mechanical collision shall be marked with IK code according to the following provisions.
1、 Characteristic number of IK code and its definition
Each group of characteristic numbers represents a collision energy value, IK code and its corresponding relationship with the corresponding collision energy
In EN IEC62262 protection level code, IK code indicates the protection level of the shell against external harmful mechanical collision, and the combination of characteristic numbers is: 01 to 10, i.e. ik01, ik02, ik03, ik04, ik05, ik06, ik07, ik08, ik09 and ik10. Among the 10 grades, there are two groups of tests according to the test levels of different grades: the first group is the spring impact hammer test from ik01, ik02 to ik06, and the energy of this group is small (from 0.14j to 1J); The other group is the large pendulum test from ik07, ik08 to ik10, with large test energy (ranging from 2J to 20j)
For example, ik10 anti riot level test refers to that the anti-collision level of the shell exceeds level 10 (that is, the shell can withstand more than 20j energy for 5 times, and the same point cannot be impacted for more than 4 times). Generally, the protection level is applicable to the overall shell for the application of IK code. If some parts of the enclosure have different degrees of protection, their corresponding degrees of protection shall be marked.

Note: some national standards use one digit to represent the specified collision energy. In order to avoid confusion, two digits are selected.
In the electrical distribution industry, the level test between ik08 and ik10 is required for distribution boxes and switchgear. The distribution box and distribution board products produced by Hengfengyou Electric meet the ik10 standard. 2、 IK electrical product test execution standard:
GB/T 20138-2006/EN IEC 62262; 2002 degree of protection of electrical equipment enclosure against external mechanical collision (IK code)
-This standard is applicable to rated voltage not exceeding 72 Protection classification of 5 kV electrical equipment shell against external mechanical collision
-This standard is only applicable to enclosures with special requirements for the protection classification of external mechanical collision
-The purpose of this standard is to specify:
1) Definition of protection level of electrical equipment shell to protect internal equipment from harmful effects caused by mechanical collision;
2) Marking of protection grade;
3) Requirements for each sign;
4) Tests to be carried out to confirm whether the enclosure meets the requirements of this standard.
