I. Standards & Certifications

Q1: What international standards do your electrical products comply with? Can they meet local grid‑connection standards in my country? A1: Products are fundamentally designed in accordance with the IEC 60076 series. We can adapt to national standards including GB, EN, GOST, ANSI/IEEE, AS/NZS, INMETRO, SABS, KEBS and SASO per project requirements. Please inform us of the project country and grid owner specifications prior to order placement. We will conduct standard compliance assessment and provide corresponding certification documents.

Q2: Can you provide type‑test reports and third‑party witnessed test reports? Is witnessed test supported? A2: Full sets of type‑test reports (CNAS, UL, KEMA) are available for standard orders. For high‑grade power grid projects, factory witnessed tests (WTT) covering key items such as temperature rise, short‑circuit withstand and lightning impulse can be arranged with advance scheduling.

Q3: Are English and other‑language versions available for nameplates, drawings, test reports and operation manuals? A3: Standard delivery includes an English technical document package: nameplate data drawings, general assembly drawings, FAT test reports, operation & maintenance manuals and spare‑part lists. French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian and other language versions can be negotiated upon request.

II. Technical Performance

Q4: Are windings made of pure copper or aluminium? Can you give written commitment on winding material? A4: Pure‑copper or aluminium windings are available per customer requirements. Material can be explicitly specified in the contract and technical agreement, together with relevant material inspection documents.

Q5: Can parameters such as transformer loss, short‑circuit impedance, temperature rise and insulation level strictly follow our technical data sheet? How will you handle excessive transformer loss? A5: Parameters can be customized according to owner technical specifications and measured before ex‑factory delivery. Acceptance indicators for loss are defined in the contract. Goods will not be shipped if FAT tests fail.

Q6: Are the products suitable for regions with high temperature, high altitude, salt spray, high humidity and frequent earthquakes? A6: Special enhanced design for harsh environments is available: customized temperature‑rise solution for high‑altitude application, improved heat dissipation for tropical areas, anti‑corrosion treatment up to C5M for coastal sites and seismic‑resistant structures. Please provide ambient temperature, altitude, salt‑spray grade and seismic intensity.

Q7: Can the products adapt to harmonic loads from PV / wind‑power systems? Can anti‑harmonic performance be enhanced? A7: Custom anti‑harmonic power transformers are offered for new‑energy projects. Optimized magnetic flux and temperature‑rise designs accommodate harmonic operating conditions for solar and wind grid‑connection.

Q8: What noise level can you achieve? Can it meet noise‑reduction acceptance requirements for residential areas? A8: Noise is tested in compliance with IEC standards. Low‑noise optimized design is available for municipal and residential projects, with noise test curves provided.

Q9: Can the lightning impulse and short‑circuit withstand capacity of transformers satisfy power‑grid requirements? A9: Standard lightning impulse levels are matched to respective voltage classes. Main‑grid projects adopt short‑circuit‑resistant design as standard, and corresponding short‑circuit type‑test reports can be supplied.

Q10: What is the design service life of power transformers? What is the expected service life under proper operation & maintenance? Does it follow the 6℃ ageing rule? A10: Design service life: 20 years for distribution transformers, 30 years for main transformers. Under proper maintenance and stable load conditions, distribution transformers can reach 25‑30 years and main transformers 35‑50 years. The products follow the 6℃ ageing principle for oil‑paper insulation.

Q11: Are you an electrical‑equipment manufacturer? A11: Yes. Founded in 1990, our factory has nearly 30‑year manufacturing experience. Our most senior engineers possess 28 years of professional experience. Our production base is located in Qingdao, China. Factory visits are welcome.

III. Customization, Dimension, Lifting & Transportation

Q12: Do you support non‑standard customization? Can appearance, dimensions, tap‑changer positions, accessory brands and special functions be specified per owner’s list? A12: Non‑standard customization is supported. Accessories including tap‑changers, bushings, temperature controllers, gas relays and pressure‑relief valves can be configured with owner‑specified brands.

Q13: What are the net weight, gross weight and overall dimensions of the equipment? Are out‑of‑gauge shipments possible? Can it adapt to site lifting and inland road transport? A13: Weight and dimension sheets are provided together with quotations. For large main transformers, we will assess lifting load as well as road width and weight limits in advance and assist customers with out‑of‑gauge transportation solutions.

Q14: Are transformers shipped full‑oil, partial‑oil or nitrogen‑filled with oil drained? A14: Small‑size distribution transformers are normally shipped full‑oil. For large main transformers and long‑distance ocean shipments, oil‑drained nitrogen‑filled protection is adopted to avoid winding damage caused by transportation shocks. Shock recorders are equipped to monitor transit conditions.

IV. Production & Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

Q15: What is the production lead‑time? Can delivery time be guaranteed? How is delay handled? A15: Lead‑time is confirmed according to specifications and customization complexity and stated in the contract. We will give early warning against potential delay risks, and liabilities for delay shall be subject to contract clauses.

Q16: Can our personnel or third‑party representatives attend factory supervision and witness the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)? A16: Customer or third‑party supervision and FAT witnessing are supported. Production scheduling and test timetables will be coordinated in advance.

Q17: Are raw materials and spare parts traceable? Are core production processes outsourced? A17: Core iron cores, windings and oil tanks are self‑manufactured and strictly controlled. Batch traceability documents for key materials are available. Core processes are not outsourced.

V. Commercial Terms, Quotation, Payment & Customs Clearance

Q18: What is the validity period of your quotation? Will prices be adjusted if raw‑material costs rise? A18: Standard quotations are valid for 15 days with price fixed within validity. Re‑quotation is required after expiry. Extension up to 90 days (maximum 180 days) can be negotiated.

Q19: What payment terms are acceptable? Is L/C supported? What is the minimum advance‑payment ratio? A19: T/T and irrevocable sight L/C are acceptable. Advance‑payment percentage can be negotiated based on project scale and shall be finally governed by the contract.

Q20: Can you issue documents such as Certificate of Origin (CO) for tariff reduction? A20: CO, FORM E and other FTA origin documents can be provided to help customers obtain corresponding tariff preferences.

VI. Packaging, Logistics & Cargo Insurance

Q21: How is ocean‑going packaging handled? Is salt‑spray and moisture resistance guaranteed? Do wooden cases carry IPPC marks? A21: Large‑size equipment receives special anti‑rust, moisture‑proof and shock‑absorbent packaging. Wooden packages are marked with standard IPPC fumigation marks to meet quarantine requirements at destination ports.

Q22: What transport options are available? A22: Main options: sea freight, bulk‑carrier shipment, China‑Europe Railway Express and trucking. Sea freight suits most countries. Bulk carriers are used for large‑scale power equipment exceeding container dimensions. Railway and trucking services apply to Central Asia and inland European countries.

Q23: What is the claim procedure for cargo damage during transit? A23: Collect on‑site evidence and report to the insurer within 48 hours upon goods arrival for loss adjustment. We will supply full documentation to assist claim settlement. Liability shall be determined by insurance policy, transport remarks and loss‑adjustment report.

VII. Site SAT, Installation & Commissioning Service

Q24: Can you dispatch engineers overseas for installation guidance, commissioning and Site Acceptance Test (SAT)? What are the costs and response lead‑time? A24: Overseas on‑site technical service is available. Service fees, travel expenses and deployment lead‑time are quoted separately. Remote technical support is also an alternative.

VIII. Warranty, After‑sales & Spare Parts

Q25: What is the warranty period? What does the warranty cover? A25: Standard warranty is 1 year. Extended warranty of 2‑5 years can be arranged per project requirements. Warranty commences within 7 working days after goods receipt and successful acceptance by customer. Warranty scope follows the technical agreement, excluding damage caused by improper on‑site operation, overloading and external force.

Q26: Can original‑manufacturer spare parts be supplied after warranty expiry? What is the spare‑part delivery cycle? A26: Long‑term supply of original spare parts is guaranteed. Spare‑part quotations and lead‑times will be offered to avoid spare‑part shortage in the later service life of equipment.

Q27: What is the response time for technical support in case of equipment failure? A27: Online technical support responds within 24 hours. On‑site service deployment will be arranged upon separate negotiation when needed. In case of quality problems, we will provide initial response within 24 hours upon receipt of customer’s written notice. Technical personnel can be dispatched to site within 7‑15 working days (subject to mutual agreement). Emergency response procedures will be activated for critical failures endangering personal safety or main‑equipment integrity.

Q28: How do you control quality? A28: Our company implements sound ISO and SQA quality‑management systems with total quality management applied throughout all standardized procedures. Many customers have entrusted third‑party inspectors such as BV and SGS to carry out on‑site audits at our plant, and our products fully satisfy customer requirements.
